Letting go of emotions may not be the focus required when it comes to overall wellbeing. This is because emotions are a result of our thinking. On the other hand emotions are very useful things as they let us know exactly what the instigating thoughts are behind them.
Becoming aware at anyone time you are feeling your thinking is a forward step when it comes to letting go of the past. Old emotions tend to get stuck to our awareness and can cloud our overall sense of fulfilment and connection to the positive things in life.
So emotions are like portals into our thoughts. These can either be conscious or unconscious. It is the unconscious thinking or programs that can result in self sabotaging behaviours and beliefs.
As a rule we can perform in one of two ways towards our emotions. We either suppress or express them. But if you learn to let go of negative emotions fully. They are neither expressed no suppressed. They are literally off of your mind and out of your thinking. This is where the feeling of freedom and carefree nature towards life can start to grow. It can also be the beginning of wider perception connecting to the loving spirit via your higher self.
In our current world all too often we can see people falling into the trap of suppressing emotions. This leads to people looking outside of themselves for place to land their unwanted feelings. We have all felt the emotional bite of an insecure work colleague or family member that demands their emotions be resolved by you. Or upheld as a form of identity, that must be acknowledged and understood before you are able to even try to get to know them at a deeper level.

By letting go, of our own woes first. We in turn have extra room and energy to understand and connect more deeply with the people we are closest too.” We have all heard the phrase “you have to learn to love yourself before you can love others”. It is true, and it is also true that this cannot be achieved if your thoughts and feelings are getting in the way of who you truly are.
By learning to let go of your negative emotions you will have a greater sense of clarity and an increased ability to communicate without self sabotaging.
